As a runner for 34 years, I've had every injury in the book. So I've seen every physio in the book - just about. Usually, I get back into it after a spell of rehab, but sometimes it takes much longer. I've had a persistent niggle in my hamstring for the best part of five years and have tried various treatments. Sometimes it clears up, and then it comes raging back. I was almost ready to throw in the towel when I saw Jon. He went over and above in his efforts to get me running consistently again. He analysed my gait (I have a dropped right shoulder, apparently - probably from a lifetime of carrying a handbag on it), and suggested I have too much upper body movement - and one very outlandish swinging right arm. My running style was throwing out my hip, leading to pressure on various points and probably contributing to my sore knees. I also had very tight back muscles. Jon massaged my legs and back (I was spoilt), gave me some tips for minimising my arm and shoulders swing and some stretching and strengthening exercises. It's been nearly two months since then, and although my running's been limited by work and other commitments, when I do run, I try to minimise the movement in my upper body - and it seems to be working. I still have a little pain in my hamstrings, but it's nowhere near as bad. My back and knees are also much improved. I'll be returning to Jon soon for another spot of massage and to allow him to catch up on my progress. I'm very pleased with his support and would highly recommend his services. Thank you, Jon.

Jon was very welcoming on arrival and really listened to what I believed the problem was. I arrived using a crutch as I was unable to walk or bear any weight on my right foot. Once I was on the massage bed, Jon examined my ankle and then began therapy. He instantly found the problem and began to work out the tightness in my lower legs. After the session, I could stand again and after two days I could walk without a limp and was pain free. It felt like a miracle! Jon completely understands that I need to run again on the weekend and so has offered a follow-up appointment as well as a visit before the run to tape up the ankle! All in all, a very friendly and effective visit. I'd recommend to anyone and everyone who has an interest in running. Thanks again, Jon!

I have had a history of knee and back problems for a number of years but lately I am like a new person, and its all thanks to Jon. I've had numerous sessions with chiropractors and physios etc in the past but the sports massages by Jon have given me far more relief from pain, and his advice has helped me to become a better runner with far better recovery when needed. Local friendly professional, I can't recommend highly enough.
